Starting in 2027, I'll be running a small, closed relational psychodynamic process group.

We'll meet weekly for ten weeks, ninety minutes each time, with the same people throughout.

When you spend ten weeks with a group of people, you genuinely start to know each other. That's what makes group therapy do something individual work can't quite reach. In this group it's less about the topic of discussion and more about what's happening between us in the room and inside each of us while it does — the things that come up, the things you notice yourself doing, the way you find yourself relating to the other people in it. We bring all of that out into the open and look at it together, with me facilitating.

What you get from that is real-time information about how you come across and what happens in you when you're in relationship with others.

It can be genuinely healing for anyone who finds connection difficult, or who has spent most of their life being the one who takes care of everybody else in the room.

Group therapy is a place to practice being vulnerable and to build real communication and relational skills.

You get to notice what comes up in you when you're seen and heard — and what comes up in the silence. Being seen is rarely comfortable at first, and that's exactly what makes it work.
